Diane von Furstenburg, creator of the "WRAP" dress back in the 70s has been the asked by GapKids to design a spring girls collection on sale starting March 15, 2012. Stella McCartney has also made her mark in the GapKids brand. I can't wait to see who is next, but for now, I can't wait to see all the lovely kids around America jumping around in spring chic DvF + GapKids dresses. The New Blythe Doll & The Littlest Pet Shop (Hasbro)

Recognize this face? The Blythe Doll! By the pull of a string, her eye color changes in four different shades. Meant to be a popular doll for kids in the 1970's, the Blythe doll was short lived. She got a very unfavorable response. Then in the 1970's a photographer Gina Garan's photos of the Blythe Doll photographed against real scenic backdrops drew out collectors and fans of a new kind.

This doll became more and more popular over the years and the price tag for a Japanese Takara doll (licensed replicas made in the 2000's) will run you somewhere from $59 - $300 and up for new dolls.

You may have seen her photos like the ones here. But now, license owner of the Blythe doll (Hasbro) has just released the Blythe doll with their popular toy brand - "The Littlest Pet Shop". Found on Amazon.com on sale starting at $13 from a retail price of $15, the Blythe doll is making a noticable return. Arguably, he may not be the cutest doll on your shelf, but grabbing one box for yourself might give you a happier return in the future.

Maybe it won't be popular with young girls who actually play with their dolls (that's what the doll forums are saying), but for the young girl in us who still like dressing up little dolls as a hobby, this is an opportunity to buy a piece of history in the making. Somewhat like the first edition copy of Harry Potter - volume one!

She may be shortlived in the mainstream market once again. So, if you like collecting or want to start your kids collection, don't let this great price pass you by or you'll say, "Oh Blythe!"

As a mommy, I was fond of Build A Bear stores since I've seen how much money parents are spending per doll, but after going to a birthday event at a local Build A Bear store, I was pleasantly surprised that you can get a full outfit like the ones above and a stuffable bear from $10 to start. For a $25 gift, this is a great one for any kid of any age. Thanks to a fellow Korean American mommy on our facebook page, we now can share with you that they are making costumes based on national country costumes such as above. You don't have to be a celebrity to have great fashion sense, but judging by this picture, maybe you have to be born with it?! BeyondBostonChic.com is like the Sartorialist, but narrowed down to the streets of Boston, MA. Being a born NY myself, I thought we cornered the market on hip fashion, but this blog site has proven me wrong. In this picture, she may be younger than most of us, but it seems as if she has fashion shooting out like rockets in her pastel blue pedicured feet.
