Unlike most mom-preneur stories, I did not start this company creating hair accessories for my daughter. I've always been a more artistic and creative person and it was an outlet. I discovered how adorable some of the hair accessories were when my sister and I went shopping together. Since she had a daughter, we went to a childrens boutique where I saw some of the fun little hair accessories that were out in the market. I thought to myself, hmmm.....I'll bet I can do this too. So that's when I started to play around with ideas.
Soon after I started my “new hobby” I decided to go back to school and study fashion design. There was a creative yearning inside me that wasn’t being fulfilled by my career. I originally began my career in merchandise buying/planning. My goal was to work my way up the career path and then to eventually land in product development so I can incorporate a bit of the natural creativity I had to offer. I got restless. My job was mostly about numbers and I was still seeking a way to fulfill that artistic side of me.
After I finished design school, I continued making girls’ hair accessories which turned into a passion to offer something that was more MODERN, UNIQUE, COLORFUL AND FUN!!!! So finally after years of ideas, I started Hair Bonbons…..hair candy for girls. I like to combine different color and print combination's along with an assortment of fabrics and textures to create accessories that stand out from the rest. A strong focus on these details is important to me.
What continues to inspire me and my designs are current fashion trends and believe it or not....sweets! When I see beautiful, decadent cupcakes with all that heavenly frosting, at a bakery or pastry shop, I'm inspired.....when I see images of colorful and sweet bonbons wrapped so ornately in pastels, I'm inspired!! So when you take a look at my assortment of "hair candy", don't be surprised if your sweet tooth is satisfied.
All hair bonbons are handmade by me with love and care and I take pride in all my pieces. I hope you enjoy and love them as much as I do!

the best part of being a mommy are the irreplacement memories and heartracing moments your children give you...my daughter came up to me one day and told me, "mommy, you're my BEST friend!" and gave me the biggest bear hug and smile (she's 3 yrs old)...as you can imagine, i melted, then wondered, where did you learn that?...a mixture of pure ecstasy and bewilderment...you can't ever get that from anything else!

The best part about being a mommy is watching my daugther smile & laugh in her sleep... I wonder what she dreams about.
I can't wait to hear her full laugh coming sometime this month!

The best part of being a mommy is hearing your child laugh hysterically and know that you had something to do with making her happy at that moment.

Wow! There are just so many...but one of the best parts of being a mommy is definitely seeing my daughter's personality develop. I can't believe just how much spunk and silliness my little girl comes up with on her own. God has truly given each and every one such a unique and tender spirit.

the cuticle of gray hair is up to 30 times theikcr then naturally colored hair, making it coarser, wirey, glassy and really stubborn. These hairs are really stubborn to color too. to soften these unruly hairs you can pick up a box of perm solution for your hair type, squirt it all over the graying areas, process for about 15 minutes then rinse and neutralize. no need for rods or manipulting it in any way, you just want the solution to break down your hair a bit, not to restructure it in a new formation. just leave it down and damp and with the solution in it, you could comb it with a WIDE tooth comb if you want it stratighter. not more then 15 minutes, or the solution will really change the structure of your hair. the perm should eat through those stubborn cuticles and soften the hair making it more manageable. so freshly shampooed hair, no conditioner. comb out any knots apply the solution and let it do its thing *comb if you want to straighten* 15 minutes maximum then rinse for a few minutes, apply neutralizer, but take that out a minute or so early and rinse well again. dry and style your hair really well and keep it dry for 48 hours and it CANNOT be in a pony tail. youll have permanent ponytail hair if you put it up in that first 48 hours. it should be more workable. it should last you about a year or so.
