No, not lizards, but leaping frogs.
We took the kids to the lake at the local park because it's supposed to rain the rest of the week. We were hoping to find a minnow or two for our tiny aquarium since we've had no luck with bought fish. I caught a tiny frog and asked Jaemin to touch it. It jumped and scared the bejezius out of him and he said 'no more frog'. He told Brian 'I don't want to touch'. I'm sure he'll change and be just like big brothers, eventually bringing home snakes and hiding them in the garage until we make them set the free. Really, truly, you never know what you'll find in our garage. We have regular Steve Irwin's in the house who can catch things and tell you all about the species.
Jaemin was okay touching the tadpole. I don't think he saw that it had already started growing it's legs. They were still pretty short. I tried to catch a crawdad for him, but it got out of my hand before I could show him and take the picture. It's really hard to do at the same time. He was ready to go home when all was said and done, but it was a nice break from the usual and supper was on the stove.
Still REALLY enjoying part time and being with my babies more! It only lasts a short while.
