I was like 12 when I had him, right?
So, his grades have been, well, a lot less than he's capable of and have left a lot to be desired. He was warned he would not get to have a party......in parent terms, this means friends. We snuck around all week and got all 3 of his God parents, 2 of his sets of grandparents, one great-grandmother and aunt and uncle all over to the house without him knowing. He was a little surprised to walk upstairs and see all of his family waiting for him. We even managed to quickly decorate the kitchen and throw every thing together.
I really hope he keeps his grades up in the future and can just have a well planned friend party, 'cause this was tough!
But, he will officially be 13 tomorrow at 7:00 am. Hard to believe it's been this long...really. He's been through so much and momma couldn't resist but to write him a gushy birthday card to go with his hiking boots and jerky. He read it and smiled the whole time. He did pretty well with the other gifts too. Plenty of cash and gift cards to Bass Pro. He was in heaven!
This was the official reading of the Larry the Cable Guy card. When you refer to gas or bodily functions it's always a hit in our house!
